RATES FOR 2013

Note: Please consult the tables below for our current rates. Web searches occasionally bring up cached pages with out-of-date rates. We also suggest that you refresh your browser to make sure you are not viewing a cached page.

Rate includes water, electricity, 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 17, and only one camping unit and vehicle per site. There is no sewer hookup at the site. We have a dump station and a mobile sewer service. Weekly rates include mobile pump-out service.

Extra person fees: Adults are $6. Children are $4. The number of persons per site may be limited.

Placing tents on RV sites will not be permitted.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. There is a limit of two dogs per campsite. They must be leashed and picked up after at all times, and never left unattended. Excessive barking will not be tolerated.

On standard sites, guests will receive 1 night free on a 2-week stay, 2 nights free on a 3-week stay, as reflected in the figures below. Discounted monthly rates are also noted below.

There is no discount on premium sites.

Maine’s lodging tax is 7% and is not included in the rate tables below.

Every year three lucky couples get to call The Moorings home. Here is how it works:

We provide a site for the season, and you supply approximately twenty hours of assistance, per person, doing various tasks to help keep The Moorings the great place that it is.

From greeting guests to mowing the lawns, to helping with Happy Hour to working in our flower gardens, you get a chance to stay active, meet new friends and enjoy the amazing weather Maine has to offer.

*All stays surrounding a holiday require a 3-night minimum and a nonrefundable 100% deposit at time of reservation.

*PREMIUM Oceanfront Sites: There will be no discounts issued regardless of the amount of time booked. Premium site reservations for 2 weeks or more, placed between Sept. 1 and March 31, will require a nonrefundable deposit of $100. All reservations under 2 weeks, placed between Sept. 1 and March 31, will require a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to one night. By April 1, all reservations are required to be 100% paid. This additional deposit will also be nonrefundable. Please note that whole and partial refunds will not be issued for any reason at any time. This includes shortening your reserved stay at any time after your reservation is placed.

*STANDARD Oceanview Sites: Reservations for 2 weeks or more, placed between Sept. 1 and March 31, will require a nonrefundable deposit of $100. All reservations under 2 weeks, placed between Sept. 1 and March 31, will require a nonrefundable deposit equivalent to one night. By April 1, all campsite reservations are required to be 50% paid. Any remaining balance owed will be due at this time. In case of cancellation, the balance will be refunded, minus a handling fee equivalent to one night, as long as we are given at least 2 weeks’ notice prior to your date of arrival. All reservations placed after April 1 will require a cancellation fee of one night, and a 2-week cancellation policy will be in effect.

*Personal checks are accepted for all advance deposits as long as they arrive 14 days prior to the date of arrival. At check-in, we accept Visa and Mastercard as well as traveler's checks and cash. If a reservation is placed within our 2-week cancellation period, a credit card will be required and full payment will be due. Those failing to show up on their scheduled day of arrival will be charged the full length of their reserved stay.

We invite you to experience the mild and comfortable temperatures all season long at our scenic resort by the bay. Get the best of both worlds by enjoying spring and fall’s quieter periods, as well as participating in the area’s many festivals and activities during its short peak time in the summer. For a little over $20 per day, you can stroll along the beach at sunset, awaken to our lovely sunrises, and use the Moorings as your base to fully explore all that Maine’s Midcoast area has to offer!

***Our policy is that our seasonal sites do not appear any different from our shorter-term sites. We do not authorize the building of decks or anything similar at our seasonal sites. We only allow satellite dishes, firewood, and a few potted plants outside the RV. Storage companies are nearby if you need extra capacity.

***A $350 nonrefundable deposit will be required to hold your reservation. Equal installments of $1,858 (nonrefundable) will be due on Feb. 1 and May 1, 2011. Deposits payable by check only.
